FRIDAY THE 13TH

Plot:

In this remake of the 1980 classic horror movie, a group of young adults camp out at the legendary Crystal Lake, where story has it that a young Jason Voorhees almost drowned at the hands of negligent camp counselors and then witnessed his mother's murder. The group's attempt to indulge in a weekend of sex and drugs turns into a night of blood and gore at the machete hand of an avenging Jason. Soon after, Clay (Padalecki) sets out to find his sister who was among the group that came up missing. He then becomes involved with another group of young adults who also plan on staying in a cabin on Crystal Lake, until the hockey masked murderer comes making a house call.

Reel Talk:

Ok, although this is a remake, there were (I really lost count) many murdering Jason movies that kinda wore thin for slasher fans. Like most slasher films the script is senseless and the film is full of idiots, so don't be expecting anything different with this one. If you're looking to be frighten, this film is not for you, but if you want a good laugh get ready to bust some stitches cause this film doesn't disappoint with the constant stupidity that makes for a good comedy/horror movie. Word of advise: Stop with the remakes and give us something original and scary.
