It's Christmas time and Ma'Dere (Devine) has know idea what's in store for her as she prepares for the arrival of the Whitfield clan (her children). She is a single mother of six, disappointed because her husband left her to pursue his love for music when she gave birth to the youngest, Baby (Brown) who is now about to graduate and wants to sing, but is scared of how his mom may react. Her biggest surprise is when her oldest, Quentin Jr (Elba)., who also left to pursue his love for music and hasn't been home in four years, shows up for the family holiday affair. Along with her other children, Lisa (King), Kelli (Leal), Claude (Short) and Mel (London), Ma'Dere and her love interest Joe (Lindo) will have a Christmas to remember.
Just because your family is dysfunctional, doesn't mean that you can't still come together and have fun, and more importantly that you don't love each other. That is the message you'll get from this movie. But the performances by this all star cast was awesome, and the girls are gonna love Chris Brown, who I got to admit, the boy can sang. I mean I knew he could sing, but in this movie he sangs. The last thing I got to say is Regina King and baby oil, you will be rolling with laughter. This Christmas is my pick out of holiday movies, a must see.
