Plot:
Even as a kid, all Speed Racer (Hirsch) wanted to do was race cars just like his dad (Goodman) and big brother, racing champ Rex Racer (Porter). Now he's grown up and is the top racer on the tracks since his brother was killed racing in the most dangerous yet high stakes tournament for racers.Because Speed wants to stay pure and continue to let his family manage him instead of bowing to the rich but corrupt sponsors who want to back him, he now has a bounty on his head for any racing mercenary who can take him out of the big races. But it won't be that easy with Speed driving his super charged hi - tech Marx IV.
Reel Talk:
Growing up watching the cartoon series Speed Racer, the movie brought back memories. Even back then the action was unbelievable, yet entertaining. The movie was quite enjoyable, you just got to adjust to the multi-colored visual effects that make up the back drop of the film. Overall a great kids movie.
